About Our Work

Our team aims to understand how compromised water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions impact physical and mental health, behavior, education, and empowerment in low-income settings, with a specific focus on women throughout their life course.

Our work includes application of qualitative methods, measurement development, hierarchical modeling approaches, theory-based intervention design, and impact and process evaluation. The team have carried out fieldwork in Kenya, India, Bangladesh, Bolivia, and Uganda, and has supported research in Mali, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and the Philippines, among other locations.
